Murrays Update - 28 Jan 2008

Well since my last post at Xmas we have been living quietly. New Year was a fairly quiet civilised affair, with another three couples coming round to us for BBQ. There was only another couple of kids, and they all played well together. We brought the bells in and finished the night about 1.30am, so not bad.

Since then, Joe went back to work on 3rd Jan and Ryan was back at swimming lessons for another couple of wks. Then into the last few weeks of the summer hols. Now into final week and kids really in need of there own space. Me too!!!

The house has made slow progress over the festive period. We now have the windows all in, the internal plaster work almost completed and the front has been rendered, will post some more pics soon. Hopefully we will have lock up this week and then see some faster movement. Still hoping for completion mid to late March, fingers crossed.

Liam starts kindy in Feb so will finally have a couple of days to myself. Guess i should start thinking about getting a job!!!!! Maybe!

Well that's about us up to date for now. Will get some more pics on soon, but thought i would just give a quick update and let you know we are all still alive & well.

Christmas Day on the Beach!!!

Well we made it to the beach this year and it was fab! We took a posh picnic, with smoked salmon, prawns, some fizzy wine and other nibbles for the us and the kids and headed for the beach about 10.30am. I couldn't believe how busy it was, I had never seen it like that before. I was great to just swim in the ocean (even if it did take a bit of getting in) and play in the waves. We had a couple of hours there and then headed home for a chill out afternoon before going out for dinner with friends.

It was one of the most relaxed Christmases I can remember, even the kids didn't fight too much.

Boxing day has been a bit quieter, too hot to do anything, even the beach (41), hence the blog being up to date! Heading into Kings Park later today to go to the out door cinema to watch Surfs Up.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was lovely and the kids had a ball opening their presents. They were thrilled with all their presents and want to thank everyone very much.

Christmas Eve Mass

This was another spectacular event and a lot of effort had been put into it. There must have been at least 5000 people there. we had donkeys and camels and a confetti finale (it wasn't dark enough for fireworks!) The church itself was also decorated with a walk in crib and lit up backdrop on the alter.

Kids Xmas Party In the Park

Some of the mums had organised a sort of xmas party for the kids in one of the local parks. One of the guys dressed up as Santa and arrived with a sack full of pressies for the kids. They all thought it was fab that Santa knew they were in the park! It was also Molly's first birthday so we had birthday cake as well.
