Some more photos of the air race, and well I guess everyone found it an exhausting day! Posted by Picasa

Red Bull Air Race 2006

The Red Bull Air Race was a really good out. The race itself was over two hours and really quite exciting. It was amazing how low the planes actually went. We were sitting on the bank just back from the beach, and the kids and me had to stand on the railings to see some of the action. The bomber was shown on a big screen which we were sitting close to so that helped to let us see. The guy who won the race as a real charismatic character and palyed to the crowd. There was a hugh cheer when he came in with a flying 2nd round to win the Perth leg of the championship, it was the American piolit who won the overall world chaampionship.

The race has been all over the world and did have a UK leg which was held at Longleat. However the Sunday racing had to be cancelled due to poor weather. No such problems here!

It was very well supported with a crowd of about 350000 there. It will be back next year so we might go again, but try to get there a bit earlier, apparently about 7am, to get a reasonable spot, (the race dosen't start till 12pm) Posted by Picasa

Ryan's School Disco

Ryan had his school disco and sausage sizzle last week. It was in the undercover area at the school. The kids all seemed to have a good time. The girl's Ryan is playing with are Rebekah, who we used to live next door to in Craigie, and Chole, another little girl in his class. I guess he like the ladies!!! Posted by Picasa

My Birthday

Joe and I had a lovely night out in the City for my birthday. We went to a restaurant called Jessica's, a seafood place. It was lovely and nice to get outjust the two of us. I ended up buying a new dress and shoes. I was fed up wearing the same clothes, still waiting on our stuff to arrive.

Got lots of cards from home, it was good to hear from everyone. Got gift vouchers for one of the local shopping centres, perfume, and slippers. Had a lovely day. Posted by Picasa

Murray's In Oz

Well our furniture might be in Australia but it is still not in our house yet!! Apparently customs have done their bit, found my wine, and were going to charge us a brokers fee to evaluate it and then charge us duty on his evaluation, told them just to confiscate it, It was not worth that much or the further delay. Now it has to go to quarantine so hopefully we should have it early next week. Yippee xmas come early!!!

Not much else going on. Joe and I had a night out last Saturday. The kids went for a sleepover at our old neighbours from Craigie. The wee girl Rebekah is in Ryans class at school and her wee brother Shaun is just a bit older that Liam. They had a great time and Joe and I had a good night to. We met a guy from Joe's work and his wife along with another couple and went for a meal in South Perth. Then back to there apartment (well seen no kids) for a coffee.

Things starting to get xmasy over here. Seems really weird when the weather is hotting up. Ryan is doing a school show and is a xmas tree. We are going to friends, Arlene and Iain for xmas day. BBQ on the beach. What else!! Going to Perth Zoo for hogmany. The animals are allowed up till 7pm and then their is family entertainment with a countdown and firewords about 9.30ish. I guess the kids don't know what time it is and a few of our friends are going to, so it should hopefuly be a good night.

Going out next Saturday for my birthday. Somewhere in the city, Joe has booked it. No sleepover this time for the kids, just a babysitter.

Going to the Red Bull Air Race on the Sunday. Lots of stunt planes flying along the river. Looks really good on the ads. I think the kids will enjoy it.

Well I think that is you up to date. I will let you know how all these things go and post the photos to go with them.
