Christmas Day on the Beach!!!

Well we made it to the beach this year and it was fab! We took a posh picnic, with smoked salmon, prawns, some fizzy wine and other nibbles for the us and the kids and headed for the beach about 10.30am. I couldn't believe how busy it was, I had never seen it like that before. I was great to just swim in the ocean (even if it did take a bit of getting in) and play in the waves. We had a couple of hours there and then headed home for a chill out afternoon before going out for dinner with friends.

It was one of the most relaxed Christmases I can remember, even the kids didn't fight too much.

Boxing day has been a bit quieter, too hot to do anything, even the beach (41), hence the blog being up to date! Heading into Kings Park later today to go to the out door cinema to watch Surfs Up.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was lovely and the kids had a ball opening their presents. They were thrilled with all their presents and want to thank everyone very much.

Christmas Eve Mass

This was another spectacular event and a lot of effort had been put into it. There must have been at least 5000 people there. we had donkeys and camels and a confetti finale (it wasn't dark enough for fireworks!) The church itself was also decorated with a walk in crib and lit up backdrop on the alter.

Kids Xmas Party In the Park

Some of the mums had organised a sort of xmas party for the kids in one of the local parks. One of the guys dressed up as Santa and arrived with a sack full of pressies for the kids. They all thought it was fab that Santa knew they were in the park! It was also Molly's first birthday so we had birthday cake as well.

TW Christmas Party

Joe's work again put on a great xmas party for the kids and Liam and I even managed a camel ride this year. It is a great idea as all the rides are free so it meant that the kids could go on as often as they liked.

Boys Birthdays 2007

Well, we had the birthday dilema again this year and finally decided on separate parties but at the same time in the same place. Ryan had a Simpsons room and was allowed to invite all the boys from his class and Liam had a Nemo room and he invited his friends from playgroup. It was fairly easy as the kids got to play for a while (it was in a place called Wildkidz, a big play centre) and they supplied all the food, cakes, invites and we just had to turn up. The kids had a ball and that was the main thing.

Ryans School Concert 2007

The school concert was very good and all the kids seemed to enjoy taking part. Each year group was doing part of of the Nativity, Ryan's class was doing the arrival of the three kings so the kids were stars. The second and last photo show the whole school. It was a lovely night.
