Happy Zoo Year

This was our New Year at the Zoo. It was different and we did have a nice night, however for the money we did feel that we could have had just as good a night at a park with a BBQ. It did break up the night for Joe and I and as you can see, the kids, well Liam at least, were exhausted.

We didn't get many photos of the animals as most of them were asleep. We did have a nice night but probably wouldn't do it again.

Rockingham Beach

Rockingham is down South of Perth, about 20mins or so. The beach is lovely and if you look to the left it has lovely views. However, to the right is a view a bit like Hunterson. In this direction there is a lot of factory works etc.

Kings Park

While Joe was off over Xmas & New Year we had a few day trips, one of them was to Kings Park in Perth City. These are just some of the photos over the city, and some of the 'art' in the play parks.

Firsty Aussie Christmas

Well it was hot!!! Christmas eve we went to the church service which was held outside with about 5000 people in attendance. We had Mary & Joseph coming in on donkeys and the wise men arriving on camels. Christmas day was also hot!!! After church we watched santa leave, for South Africa apparently, in his helicopter, the kids still managed to haul the wrapping off all their presents and both seemed happy with all their gifts, then we headed for lunch which was with friends, Arlene and Ian (from Largs), which was a lovely buffet lunch and because it was still so hot the boys had a lovely afternoon in the pool. Liam did manage to keep his santa hat on almost all day.

Boogie Boarding babes!!

The boys both got boogie boards for their birthdays and have had great fun at some of the beaches, they love the big waves. Liam still needs a push every so often but is getting there. Soon they will be surfing with the best of them!!!!
