Boys day at the Park!

School Book Week Dress Up Day
This was the last day of Book Week at School. The kids and teaches really made an effort. They were to dress up as characters from 'classic' books. I think in some cases there might have been a bit of licence as to what was'classic' or not. Ryan was a wizard which we decided covered Wizard of Oz or Harry Potter, and his teacher was 'Dorothy'.
The bottom two pictures show Ryan's class mates and the rest of the school sitting out in the open area. Each year got a turn to walk round and let everyone else see their costumes. Then the best one from each year got a prize.
Auskick Gala Day
This was a great morning with about 200 to 300 kids from all the Auskick Clubs in the area. The kids played about 4 half hour games and got a chance to meet some of the West Perth footy team. Not quite the Eagles but they enjoyed it.
They were then given a certificate and a hot dog for their efforts.
Everyone had a good time including Liam.
Auskick Fathers Day Game
Well we had the Mothers Day game earlier in the season so it is only fair that the Dads get a turn.
I am sure there was still some cheating going on, with kids holding balls, being lifted from one end of the pitch to the other!!!
Finally we managed a full team photo for the end of the season.
Joey Scouts Bush Walk
This was our first Bush Walk. We all tagged along with the Joeys on this outing.
It was a lovely day and the kids have fun.
They all received their Environmental Challenge Badge as a result.

Ryan's Footy Club
This is some of the footy team that Ryan plays with on a Saturday morning.
Not quite the 'Eagles' yet, but you never know. We might be watching TV in years to come and be able to say, "hey, I played footy with him".
New House in Somerly
Well it has started!!!! Here are some photos of the new house, foundations, at Somerly.
They call this slab down, and it is basically at big slab of concrete which they then build on top of.
It looks really small, but apparently this is normal and it will be fine once the walls are up and plastered.
We'll see. Anyway will post more photos as build progresses.
