Furniture in Australia! Yipee

Well it is finally here, well at least in the same country as us.

Hopefully we should now have our own stuff within the next couple of weeks.

Next we will be complaining the house is not big enough!!!

Budding Rock Stars!!

Meet our budding rock stars. Poor kids, they have no toys and are reduced to improvising with the tennis racket and empty boxes. Never mind at least they are using there imagination!! Posted by Picasa

Swimming lessons

This was Liam's first swimming lesson in the pool himself. He seemed to enjoy it and was happy to have someone else tell him what to do. Ryan is in the same class as he was in last term and seems to have made some improvement after his nine days of swimming with school. Posted by Picasa

Play Time

These are some pictures taken at the weekend, above, beore we went to a birthday party and below, at the birthday party. The boys seemed to have a good time and there were a couple of boys Ryan knew there as well. So he was quite happy.

Mandurah Boat Show

This was quite a good day out, we had a few hours wandering around the boats. We finally decided on this one - not too big and not too small. Only $1,500,000. In our dreams!!
I felt the living quarters were to small, a bit claustrophobic. Didn't want it anyway.

The Murray's

This was at Stirling Park and is just to reassure everyone that Ryan & Liam are not in Australia on their own, but Joe and I are here too.

4 Granton Way, Kingsley, Perth

Well this is our new house , for a year at least. It is nice and clean and is located in a nice area, withing walking distance of shops, hairdressers bakers, restaurants etc. There is a Catholic school which is close and Ryan will go there, if he can get a place. If not then there is a state school within walking distance.

Perth Royal Show

This is a once a year event a bit like the Edinburgh Highland Show. Lots of cows, sheep, horses etc. and Liam insisted on seeing every cow in every barn. The cars were the Holden Stormriders, a stunt car team. It was a good day out and the kids enjoyed it.

A big part of the show is the "Showbags". They're basically goodie bags with prices ranging from about $5 to $75. There are hundreds to choose from with contents ranging from sweets, to toys, sports goods, smelly stuff for grown ups etc. Our two picked an army bag as it had a gun in it... and we bought them a big Cadbury one between them.

Whiteman Park

This was Whiteman Park, we met up with some friends and had a BBQ. As you can see, the weather was not so great that day but we did get a treasure hunt on an old steam train and then it dried off enough for us to BBQ some sausages. The kids had a good time and as you can see it was all a bit much for some by bed time. this was how Liam went to bed that night.

City Beach

Well, we are still enjoying the beach. This was at City beach last Monday, 2nd October. The waves were really good fun, but the current was quite strong and we had to hold onto the boys. Liam thought it was fun to just lift his feet and let the back current pull him. I spent my time gripping his hands. The two of them thought it was hillarious to stand in the sand and pretnd to surf with the back current. Needless to say we have to go back.
