Day Out at the Perth Royal Show

This was the first time we had been to the Royal Show in a couple of years, and will probably be the last for a lot more years. It was an ok day. The kids enjoyed the army stuff, but were a bit in between for the rides, bit past the small kiddy rides but not quite ready for the "revolution" . They did get on the log flumes and loved that.

On the Sun we headed to the reptile house. Ryan & Liam did not want to touch the snake and we were very proud of Claire who grudgingly gave it a go because Matthew asked her. We then headed to a farm park and ended up spending the rest of the day there. The kids and adults, had a ball

This is the back of the house that we were staying in and views from the upstairs verandah. The kids decided to use one of the beds as a trampoline!! The photo of the kids is in the upstairs sort of hall area, off this area were 4 bedrooms and a bathroom and there were two single beds in this open area.

On the Sat night we had a BBQ and then the obligatory birthday cake!

Weekend In Yallingup

We had a great time in Yallingup (just outside Dunsborough) for our friend Dereks 40th. 4 Families, 7 kids & 8 adults, in one big house in the middle of a forest. It was excellent and the kids generally all behaved very well. We arrived on the Fri afternoon and just chilled and then on Sat we headed to Busselton where the kids had a shot on the trampolines. We then headed for an archery centre and, yes, we did let Liam and Ryan loose with bows and arrows!!!! Liam really enjoyed it, Ryan took a bit more coaxing. They also had a crazy golf course and a mini racing car track, Liam was in his element.
