Burns Night

Well we like to try to keep the Scottish traditions going, especially if a night out is involved. We all had a great night. The event is run by a local group and is held in the community centre not far from us. Kenny, our Scottish friends from up the road, addressed the haggis and then everyone got to tuck in to some haggis, neeps and tatties. The kids had a ball and were all up dancing and doing there "hip hop moves".
It was a really good night and hopefully we will get invited back next year!

Adventure World

We finally made it to Adventure World. A theme park with rides and water slides. The kids, & Joe & I, had a ball and spent most of our time on the water slides. Joe & Uncle Jim took the kids on the go karts as they were too small to go on themselves. A lot of the rides were a bit small for our two, but they were more than happy just going on the water slides.

Trip to Fermantle

When mum, dad, Aunt Shona & Uncle Jim were here, we deciced to take Uncle Jim on a cruise down the river to Fremantle. We had a good day and took the kids to the maritime museum, which they enjoyed. They got the chance to go on a submarine, and have some other hands on activities. We then stopped for fish suppers at the harbour before heading home on the train.

January Vac Swim at Quinns Beach

This year the kids did vac swim at the surf beach for the first time. They both did really well and Ryan passed his level and Liam would have passed but ended up with an ear infection which meant that he was unable to complet the second week. It was quite different for them this time and the sea was quite rough and and current quite strong.
